Safe Environment Program – Updated January 1, 2020
The Archdiocese of St. Louis has developed a new system for safe environment compliance called Prevent and Protect STL. Everyone (clergy, employees and volunteers) ministering to minors and vulnerable adults in the Archdiocese is required to register in the new system before December 31, 2020. This includes those new to service and those who are currently in service. Coaches and volunteers for upcoming CYC sports are asked to complete these requirements before the start of the 2020 fall season.
Minors (under the age of 18 or those who are 18 but still in high school) who are employees or volunteers need to read, sign, and return to the Parish Office the Code of Ethical Conduct for Minors. A parent’s signature is also required on this form.
More information about the Safe Environment Program can be found on the Archdiocesan web page, https://www.archstl.org/child-and-youth-protection/safe-environment-program. For questions, contact Maureen O'Reilly in the Parish Office at 636-227-5247or moreilly@stjoemanchester.org.
