Michelle Foster – St Joseph PSR Coordinator of Religious Education
We, my husband, Dale, and our four sons, moved into the parish in 1997. It was hard to feel at home at St Joseph for the first two years…but we learned in that two years that to feel at home we needed to “jump in”! Once we started jumping in at the parish it then became very EASY to feel at home at St Joseph! Over the years St Joseph has become a family to me and my family and that is one of the things we love about St Joseph! Other things we love about St Joseph…we love the MANY opportunities to make a change in our local area through St Joseph ministries like Sandwich Ministry, Room at the Inn, Giving
Sunday, A Case for SMILES, the parish St Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Sts Peter & Paul Soup Kitchen and the Giving Tree Fertile MO project at Christmas time; we loved sports with our sons as they grew up; we love the family centered fun of Sausage Supper and other family events at the parish; we love the tradition of Apple Butter making; we love the happy and smiling faces we meet as we come and go at the parish; we love the community that the ACTS retreats bring to the parish; we love the way folks “hang out” at events and Masses, we love the support of the staff and clergy when people want to begin something new in the parish, and so much more! But most of all we love that we find Christ present in the people of St Joseph!
