Anyone who enjoys knitting or crocheting for a good cause, we would love to have you join us on Thursday, September 8th, at 7 pm in room 1 in the school. We make prayer shawls for the sick and those in need of comfort. They are prayed over and blessed by a priest. We also make baby blankets for children in the hospital and scarves and hats for the homeless. Prayer shawls are available in the parish office during normal office hours at no cost. If you cannot get to the office during normal office hours, arrangements can be made to pick one up at the Ambassador Station in the church vestibule. Call Barb at 314-704-0061 if you have any questions.

All are invited to pray in a special way for the Archdiocesan Strategic Planning Process, All Things New, on Friday August 19th. On this day, the archdiocese will be hosting a meeting of priests to discuss the possible next steps in this planning process. From the very beginning, Archbishop Rozanski has asked us to pray for God’s guidance in the unfolding of this strategic plan so please take a moment that day to pray for all those in leadership positions and that this may be a true time of renewal for our archdiocese. St. Joseph Parish in Manchester will be offering Eucharistic Adoration from 9am to 3:30pm on August 19th with Benediction at 3:30pm and all are welcome. In addition, please consider making Friday, August 19th a day of fasting.
A word of gratitude to our Knights of Columbus for answering the call to be “Good News for Others” by organizing the distribution of our parish directories this year.
